KONKRET COMICS

Konkret Comics is a 5x Glyph Award Winning Publishing Company launched in 2019 by creator and writer Derek 'Lonzo Starr' Allen. Konkret Comics is a collective of artists, creators, and writers with a passion to create stories through a diverse lens that appeals to all audiences of all ages. There is a lack of diversity in the comic book industry and Konkret Comics' plan is to fills that void. Konkret strives to break boundaries and stereotypes, giving a voice to creators from diverse backgrounds and telling diverse stories. 

Konkret Comics specializes in creating comic books in various mediums such as adventure, horror, sci-fi, and traditional superhero storytelling. Konkret Comics offers an array of products, including clothing, posters, trading cards, bookmarks, and action figures. Konkret Comics also provide services to independent creators seeking to produce their own comic books. Services include script writing, line art, coloring, lettering, story editing, world building, consulting, and distribution. Konkret Comics has proven to stand with the best in the comic book industry. Konkret Comics can be found in the top comic books shops in the United States, including Amalgam Comics and Coffee Shop and Black Star Collectibles.

I designed the original Konkret Music Group logo in 2005 while it blew up and became a signature t-shirt around the Philadelphia area.  Derek 'Lonzo Starr' Allen, CEO of Konkret Comics transitioned to comics in 2019. The brand has continued to evolve, and today Konkret Comics has become the Marvel of Black indie comics.  Konkret is known for there if brand and style with is hip hop flare and is blerd vibe it’s a brand that is destined to become a household name.  Don't be surprised when you catch them on the big screen in the future. As  Co-creative director, lead graphic designer, apparel designer, and  backbone of Konkret Comics, I have designed or helped develop marketing materials, social media content, apparel designs, website design, and so much more.
